Isaac Chamberlain is a name that has been talked about a lot since he beat Wadi Camacho at York Hall after fighting on with a dislocated shoulder. The young prospect, now 6-0, is looking to build on the publicity and challenge for domestic honours soon.

We spoke to Isaac and found out more about the man behind the gloves and asked about where he saw himself in a year. We even asked him about sparring with Deontay Wilder and a potential move up to Heavyweight down the line. See the interview below to find out.

TBB: You are 6-0 now and your last fight against Camacho put your name into many boxing fans mouths now. What's the plan for you over the next year, what routes are you hoping to go down?

IC: "Hi Boxing Banter... Take it easy on me lol. For me, I am 110% focused on this fight. It could have been easy to get carried away with my last win, but that's not what I'm about. I have to keep pushing myself, and stay in the gym. I didn't want to stay at home and be angry with my injury, so I got in the gym and worked on it. I hope everyone can see my improvements, and progress.

I do have goals this year, and the British title is one of them... but that comes from a good performance on Friday."

TBB: To fight on with a dislocated shoulder and still win takes a lot of mental strength, where do you find this strength to fight, religion, repetitive training etc?

IC: "It's a bit of everything really. I've never had it easy, my Mother has worked hard and instilled that in all of us. Ted too, he doesn't let anyone cut corners and I couldn't have shown my face anywhere if I'd have quit at my first hurdle, my first test. There are many people who have more difficult challenges than I had in a 30 minute fight. I am always telling people they need to work hard and not give up, so I needed to show it too. I've learnt you can't measure heart, and it's what got me through last time."

TBB: Which boxer current or past would you liken your style too?

IC:"I respect anyone who gets in the ring, but for me I enjoy watching people like Mike McCallum, James Toney etc. But above all, for the way he conducts himself in and out of the ring, it has to be Andre Ward. I was lucky enough to have a good 45 minute conversation with him recently, and the knowledge he has, was clear for everyone. Like Andre, I want to do my talking in the ring."

TBB: How hard is it when ‘up and coming’ to juggle between concentrating on fights and selling tickets?

It's one of the hardest aspects, but it has to be done. I don't expect to have 10,000 fans immediately; I have to earn their respect and their willingness to pay to watch me. I hope I'm going some way to making that happen."

TBB: Where can fans buy tickets for your next fight at York hall on the 17th March?

IC:"They can email isaacboxer94@gmail.com and we will get on it straight away. We have a few £40 tickets available!

I would be honoured to have anyone decide to come down and support me, and I promise I will repay them!! You can't beat York Hall for history, and atmosphere. It ranks up there with many other British venues.

There's some great fights on the card too, so you'll also get Reece Belloti v Dai Davies in a British title eliminator and Craig Richards v Alan Higgins for a Southern Area title, plus many others.

Don't forget it's St Patrick's Day too!!"

TBB: Which fighters out there do you want to fight next?

IC:"I want fights that push me, and teach me what I need to know to ensure I can unify the Cruiserweight division in good time. I will step up when the time is right, and I will show that I can mix it with the best."

TBB: You sparred with Deontay Wilder, could you ever see yourself jumping to heavy weight down the line in your career?

IC:"I'm firmly set with the Cruiserweight division currently, and it's too soon to be making bold promises. But I feel I acquitted myself well when sparring Deontay and AJ. Tony also showed the jump can be made against David Haye, and there are others like Evander Holyfield. Why not... but I want to take the right steps, respect my current position and win the right fights and titles at the right time."

"Thanks Boxing Banter!"
